When I started blogging, I shared stories from my 20 years in the military. Nobody cared. Next, I tried to pose questions such as, "Drama, is there ever too much?". Lukewarm response.
I've finally found a use for my blog that gets a response, and makes me happy.
Sometimes we writers get so hung up on our own careers, that we're very stingy when it comes to helping each other out. If you take the time to look, you will see commentary from talented authors and read reviews of some very very good books.
I get great satisfaction in thinking that I've done my small part to further the career of a fellow author. I hope you enjoy reading about the superstars of tomorrow.

Looking forward to reading your post. As you may know, I am a firm believer in promoting fellow Indie authors.
ReplyDeleteHi Kenn! I am an equal opportunity supporter. :) Meaning I support writers no matter how they choose the publish.
ReplyDeleteSounds great! I look forward to it x

DeleteI read your post just as I was thinking about the fact that I feel like I get very little support from other authors, because I write nonfiction. I'm glad there are people out there besides myself and a few others, who believe in supporting fellow authors.
ReplyDeleteHi Maxine, thanks for your comment. I actually get a big kick out of sending out reviews and/or interview with authors. And I think helping each other out is a really good thing to do, builds good Karma. :)
ReplyDeletePersonally I would be interested by the military stories. But promoting fellow authors is a worth cause.
ReplyDeleteIf you're interested in the military stories, they are all in the archives. From when I entered basic training to retirement.
DeleteYou might find the story about how I was almost bought by a Saudi man while deployed there interesting. It's one of my favorites.

It's cuz your awesome Mary Ann! :)
ReplyDelete:) :) I don't know about that, but it was both flattering and disturbing. I was actually there with a guide and my husband. The fact that my husband was there too is another story, and a compliment to the Air Force.
DeleteThanks Constance!
