I hate my book, (not really). I don't want to look at it again, ever. I think about it while driving, eating, shopping, waiting for someone/something. It is never very far from my thoughts and I'm tired of thinking about it.
I love my book (really). I love that I created characters that are as real to me as well, real people. They are funny, and smart, and smart asses. They laugh and cry, and bitch and moan. Just like me. I'm proud of what I've written, even if it never gets published--it's like an education--my accomplishment can never be taken away.
I can probably count on one hand the things I've done in my life that I am really proud of, not counting my children. I'm proud to have served for 20 years in our United States Air Force. I'm proud I've finished school, even though I don't use the degree I worked so hard to acquire, and I'm proud to tell people I'm a writer.
I hate writing, but on every day of the week that ends with a "Y" I love writing too.
I love writing and I love my book. Some people misunderstood this post and thought I actually hated my book, so felt the need to clarify.
By the time I have that final round of galleys out, I'm so sick of it I can't stand it, and yet I'm afraid I missed something really important.

I really enjoyed reading your blog,you are very creative and imaginative with a touch of humour.You have a quality which i appreciate in a person.For my part i have written 2 short novels both have been accepted by ATHENA the London publisher.I am just waiting to hear when they will go to print and the distribution issues attached to them.The first novel is called "SOLENTVILLE TALES" this is a 39 chapter story about a local seaside community based in and around the south coast of england.There are many interesting characters and scenes which will keep the reader hooked.It received over 2500 reviews on www.booksie.com so i felt the need to write a sequel.The name of the sequel was "THE LIGHTHOUSE HOTEL" this is based on 2 of the characters who were featured in S/T with a few more,this time the location is in Dorset again on the english south coast.I would be pleased to send you a few chapters to let me know what you think of it,warm hugs from Eileen
