Hi everyone. I wanted to share some good news. I finally have a publishing company interested in publishing my book. My editor just sent back the book with suggested revisions. WhooHoo. :)
I hope to see the book published in 2013, hopefully before Summer but that's not up to me. We haven't addressed the book's title, which is currently Risky Romance but will likely change.
I started writing this book in 2008, so obviously I have paid my dues. Dozens of query letters, dozens of drafts. To anyone reading this, I highly recommend a book called, The First 50 Pages by Jeff Gerke. Wish I'd read it four years ago. I'll still be referring to it as I do the revisions.

I am, thank you. :)
DeleteSounds like it's going to be a Great 2013 for You Mary Ann! :-)
ReplyDeleteHuge Congrats to you! I am self-published and will continue that way. If I get approached by a publisher, I may rethink the matter. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you. This publisher is what I think is the wave of the future. It's kind of a hybrid, not self publishing, not traditional. They put together a team for you, an editor, book manager, book designer etc.... Each member gets a % of the profits, so everyone is motivated the book sell well. They're called Booktrope.
